Ólafur joined Viska sjóðir ehf. in March 2026 as an. At Viska, he is involved in investment analysis, article writing, and other aspects of the company’s operations.

Previously, Ólafur worked at Íslandsbanki and later at the Department of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs from 2023 to 2025. Alongside his studies, he has also served as a teaching assistant in financial economics, financial markets, and macroeconomics at the University of Iceland and Reykjavík University.

Ólafur holds a BSc degree in Economics from the University of Iceland and an MSc degree in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
